  1. Love the light here.

  2. An excellent photo. It looks like the fishing vessel is heading for the storm. Gorgeous light – and what really makes the picture for me are the two red spots, one of the boat and one on the pier. In all the blue and grey, it makes a strong contrast, even if those two red spots are relatively small.

  8. Like you, I often moan about the weather. But here it seems to be constant clear blue skies. What I wouldn’t give for a cloud filled sky rich with character. Absolutely love the photo and the work you did with it!

    • Thank you. If only we could swap for a week or two. I’ll be getting a lot more practise at these dark brooding skies if the weather forecast is correct. Will try and make the best of it. Just hoping that things improve in August for the Olympics. I’m glad you liked the picture. :-)

  12. Did you photograph this the same day as the recent image at your “Gone Fishing” post?
    They make an excellent pair.

  16. this picture tells a beautiful story. The dab of red, is just enought to indicate the fragile balance between color and light. The perspective is very elegant. Looking at this scene, one feels a longing for the smell and the sounds. The eyes don’t wish to move on… so good to continue and contemplate this scene.

    • Thank you very much Shimon. I really value your comments as there is always something to learn from them. When you comment I know I will have got something right or, on occasion, not quite. This is useful to me and for that I am grateful.

    • Thank you so much Marina. I’ve been moaning about the weather we’re having here at the moment and some sunshine would be lovely but, even on a dull day, there are photos out there to be taken. :-)
