Heavy Weather
Just as the sun was starting to sink in the sky towards dusk yesterday, I took the following picture. A heavy, sqaully shower was moving rapidly in my direction, the sun reflected in the top of the thunderhead..

That is insanely wonderful, Adrian (Unless, of course, you get soaked afterwards)! Such drama in the sky, and the earth below is still smiling away completely unaware…

It was quite a sight to behold Karen. I know these cumulonimbus thunderheads can give rise to some quite dramatic skies but this one, the way the late afternoon sun was being reflected in the upper reaches really made for quite a spectacle. I imagined the starship Enterprise bursting through the cloud any second. ;-)

That’s a pretty impressive sky! Love the light in the top of the cloud with the rain beginning underneath – great contrast.
