  1. Although I’ve seen and appreciated many of these images before Adrian, put together here, they make a stunning portfolio which I am sure you must be hugely proud of. Absolutely fabulous!

‘Bedruthan Rainbow’ has to be the rainbow that every photographer would wish to capture.

    • Thank you very much Dave for your kind comments. The Bedruthan rainbow came about after a fairly uneventful dawn photo shoot. Waiting for the sun to rise a bank of cloud rolled in just at the crucial moment so no colour to speak of and then I could see the showers out to sea, rushing towards me, backed by a gale force wind. I’m then thinking I’d better get packed up or I’m going to get very wet but as one shower veered off to the west and another to the east, it was as if I was covered by a giant, invisible umbrella. Then the sun broke through and the rainbows started appearing. It more than made up for the lack of a good sunrise picture.

  2. A beautiful collection. We are going to be in Newquay over Easter so these wonderful landscapes are a great source of inspiration. While the others surf, I’ll be exploring with my camera!

    • Thank you Rachael. I hope the weather holds for your trip. Cornwall is such a great place to explore with a camera you’re not going to be bored, that’s for sure. Bedruthan steps would be a good place to start as it’s so close to Newquay along with Holywell Bay which has been used as a localtion in a lot of Films, Summer in February springs to mind. I haven’t photographed Holywell Bay yet but it’s on my list and then there’s Pentire Head, Trevose Head, all within a few miles! :-)

      • Thanks for the tips! I am looking forward to some quality coast-time. Not long now.

      • I now realise my reply to your comment was probably misplaced as I’m guessing you’ve been to Cornwall before, perhpas many times, if you’ve got a family who like to surf. Fingers crossed for the weather.

      • No, all tips very welcome. We have tended to surf in Jersey.

      • Polzeath is a great beach for surf and if you suggested a day there, this would give you the opportunity to either take the coast path east up and around Pentire Head to Pentireglaze or south-west along the Camel Estuary to Trebetheric and the church in the sand where Sir John Betjeman is buried. Two extremes within a few miles, the rugged coastline of Pentire Head or the gentler dunes that line the Camel Estuary. Some lovely walking and your family will have no complaints about the surfing on offer.

      • From your portfolio page, I clicked enter and it was sending me to a URL not found error. Maybe it’s a problem my end then!
