Cornish Sunset..

It feels like an age since I posted some pictures from Cornwall so here are some pictures I took last evening.  As the sun started to go down, it really looked promising so I suggested to Poppy of www.poppytump.wordpress.com (who is visiting at the moment) that we go over to Constantine Bay to watch the sunset.  We were not disappointed!

We were not the only ones to head to Constantine Bay.  The beach was lined with people just watching and taking pictures with just about every device capable of taking a picture imaginable.  This person was happy just to sit on the fence and watch however..Constantine Bay35mm f/11 1/6 sec. ISO-100

Cornwall really shows her true colours here ChillB ! A very vibrant welcome this was to a few days escape to the seaside :-) Always surprised – and pleased if truth be known – when people begin to disappear after the sun has dipped behind the horizon leaving the scenes like these to be enjoyed for contemplation for the very few like us and this person , who was just sat in an unknowingly perfect position for this beautiful photograph you captured . Here’s to more shooting Cornwall in Springtime over the next few days !

  14. Gorgeous, Adrian…and how nice for you and Poppy…and all of the other admirers. I wonder who had the better time, though…all of you with your cameras or the “watcher.” I’d love to have been there either way, with or without the camera. :)

    • Thank you Scott! Me too, I had my camera so naturally I took photos but I’d have been happy just to watch too!

  21. Ahh – beautiful Cornwall! I really like your last image; there is something quite wistful about it …

    April 11, 2015 at 4:45 pm

    • Thank you Noeline. I felt a bit awkward taking that last picture. A bit of an intrusion really but as a compositional element, he was a gift and he didn’t seem to mind.

      April 11, 2015 at 5:49 pm

  22. I can see why so many people ran over to catch it – it’s fun to see your trio of images – but the final one, that’s just wonderful. It really conveys the peace.

    • Thank you Lynn! One of those occasions when I was very happy to have a person in my photograph. He sat very still for a very long time. The perfect model. :-)

      April 12, 2015 at 3:10 pm

  23. Thank you for sharing these stunning photos. I have taken some time to go through them all savouring each one. The last one of the chap just sitting gives the photo a human perspective as he is soaking up the spectacle with only his mind to capture the moment. Great set of photo.

    April 12, 2015 at 10:25 am

    • Thank you very much Gerty! It was a very beautiful evening and definitely one to be savoured! :-)

  24. Stunning view and photographs! I really like the last one, that person just sitting there enjoying the beauty of nature. :)
