Of Castles, Jugglers, Mountains and Mist
This is a further collection of photographs taken on my recent trip to Inverness. Having taken pictures at Eilean Donan castle, we drove over the bridge to the Isle of skye. In the 8th picture, with the Old Man of Storr in the background, you’ll notice a boat, halfway up a mountain. It seemed incongruous, as did the man who appeared as I was taking pictures and started a very impressive display of juggling in his garden. Click on the images for a clearer sharper view of the photographs! :-)

Thank you very much Otto! We were very lucky with the weather and it was nice to have the opportunity to take these picture postcard type photographs. The Sony AR7 performed admirably. :-)

Beautiful collection, Adrian…seems to be out of your normal fare…but so very nice to experience, nonetheless. Thank you for sharing them with us. :)
April 28, 2015 at 1:30 pm
Thank you Scott! The weather conspired to allow me to take these picture postcard type shots. As you say, a little different to my normal fare but I was very much in tourist mode and enjoying the ease and simplicity of the Sony AR7 compared to the Nikon D800 with tripod and the rest of the kit. I think this relative freedom definitely affected my photography in a very positive way. That’s not to say I’m ready to trade in my D800! :-)
April 28, 2015 at 5:59 pm
Oh, no…don’t trade it away…! Glad to see you making the best of it, though, being unrestrained from the kit. :)

Oh this is so pretty !! So so so pretty !! I can’t believe how you’ve been blessed with the weather :-)
April 28, 2015 at 1:37 pm
We were so lucky with the weather! A perfect mini break that I’ll definitely be repeating. Perhaps in the autumn. My experience of Scotland has always been that late April/May or September/early October are the times to visit!
April 28, 2015 at 6:02 pm
Oh well, we will try our luck in June and if it’s a disaster, we will try autumn :D
April 28, 2015 at 6:36 pm

With those daffodils gracing your foreground there ChillB it’s certainly Springtime in Scotland !
A wonderful gallery of images from your mini break … love the rolling mist across the water …tree shadows … the beach is just perfection … and who’d have thought you’d have captured a juggler. All in one day :-)
Fabulous photos ChillB x

Fantastic series ~ diverse and great use of light. The Eilean Donan castle is such a sight, and with the foreground framing your opening shot is a spectacular way to start this great series.

May 4, 2015 at 8:40 am
Thank you Noeline! Beautiful Scotland indeed and we were so lucky with the weather. Scotland is especially beautiful when the sun shines. I’ve seen a fair bit of decidedly damp and very grey Scotland. It’s not quite the same! :-)
